Renting a Property FAQs

Find answers to the most common questions about renting a property, from how to schedule viewings, the application process, security deposits, to understanding your rental agreement. We’ve compiled this FAQ to help make the rental process as smooth and clear as possible for prospective tenants.

  • Renting a property
    Booking your rental property could not be easier. Place to Stay is designed to make the experience of finding your short-term rental homes seamless and stress free whilst also being competitively priced. Booking through us we will be happy to assist you should you have any further queries.
  • Cancellations and Refund policy
    Each property has their own specific policy, please ensure you read through these carefully prior to booking as refunds will only be issued if they align to property owners’ policies.
  • Charges
    You will pay the rate which the property owner has highlighted per night/week/month depending on your requirement plus a service fee of 12% of your total booking. You may be subjected to a mandatory tourism fee which is not generated by Place to Stay but a fixed amount charged and payable. You will also be required to pay a security deposit on booking depending on the property, which will be returned in full to your original payment method within 7 working days of exiting the property provided there is no damage to the furnishings or building. You will also be charged against this deposit should you lose the keys to the property.
  • Can I arrange a viewing?
    If landlords are happy to facilitate a viewing you will find this on the property details alongside how it can be arranged.
